Welcome to Hazard Tower, a challenging platformer game that will probably make you angry!

This game was created for a College Game Jam by a team of 3.

In this game you play as a military soldier who has been given an objective to reach the bottom of a mysterious tower due to some disappearances of people from the local village that have been believed to have gone near the tower.

You will start at floor 100 and go floor to floor completing 25 different difficult platforming challenges to reach the bottom.

Meanwhile as you get further down the tower slowly corrodes and the new traps introduced to stop you get weirder and weirder.

  • Simple but difficult to master Platforming Controls
  • 25 Different difficult challenges to face with more to come!
  • 2 Game-modes, either play Normal Mode and play the levels in order or try your skill at Endless mode and see how long you can last with 1 life!
  • Death Count & Timer so you can challenge yourself or your friends and see who can get the best score!

hi :)

I feel like a good 50% of my time playing this was loading screen, which hurts considering how small the levels are, it doesn't feel like it should take that long to load. Also not a fan of pushing a button to use the elevator, and not using that button at any other time.

But like, good show. Less than 10 minutes, so I can say it was time well spent. You took a concept, you made a game, and you didn't drag it out. Plus you put it out there for a good cause.

you should make the levels have more of a purpose for example find a key for the elevator first. Maybe replace the green blob with a military soldier to fit the description on top of that maybe customization options (different colors for example). the game is actually quite addictive to be honest and gives me geometry dash vibes.

GOOD LUCK!

Does the green blob have a name? If not I suggest Greg

During development we named him "Man Man" but Greg would be a suitable replacement.

Really fun game. I'd love to see a full version with all 100 levels.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Good job! Here's a couple of things that struck me while playing

- The flow of the game is very fast and while varying that pace could be interesting, I don't think the repeated animation between such short levels is a good idea – it gets pretty annoying and it's not linked to your progress.

- I don't know if you originally planned to have 100 levels, or have plans to expand the game in the future, but I'd try to make the numbers correspond better to the player's sense of a beginning, middle and end. I know you say in the description that there are 25 levels, but everything in the game is telling you that there will be 100.

minor annoyance: the heaviness of the starting door kept catching me out. Again, this might be a fun variation to have in your back pocket, but as a repeated element, it produces friction with the core, super-meatboy-like gameplay loop of short levels, challenging platforming,  the possibility of frequent deaths, and quick restarts.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I see where your coming from when it comes to the flow of the game so we may have a look into how we could fix that for a update.

For the levels we originally planned to have 100 but due to time constraints we only have 25 in this version. We would like to make more levels in the future though.

For the door our idea was for it to indicate where the level starts and ends but I see what your saying.

We will take your feedback in consideration when it comes to updating the game in the future glad enjoyed the game the game overall though!
